At Enterprise Bank, our goal is to provide you with a safe banking environment for your business and financial information. To provide you with even more security for your online banking activities, we will be updating your log in method to use Out-of-Band Authentication.

  • What is Out-of-Band Authentication?

    Out-of-Band Authentication is a sophisticated type of two-factor authentication. It requires a secondary verification method through a separate communication channel along with your Company ID, User ID, and PIN.

  • How does Out-of-Band Authentication work?

    The first time you log in with Out-of-Band Authentication, you will need the following components:

    • Your Company ID
    • Your User ID
    • Your Password

    When your account is updated to this method, you will create a PIN to replace your current password.

    After the update, at each login you will receive a one-time passcode to further validate your online banking session. The first time you login the one-time passcode will be sent to your email address on file.  Your next login, you have the ability to choose to receive the one-time passcode via email or SMS text message by editing your Account Profile.

  • How do I edit my Account Profile to receive SMS text messages?
    1. Log in to Business Online Banking
    2. Click on “Edit My Profile”
    3. Choose “Enable text message notifications”
    4. Make sure your mobile number is entered in the “Mobile Phone Number” field
    5. Choose “Receive alerts via text message”
    6. Read the Text Message Terms & Conditions
    7. Choose “I agree to the Text Terms & Conditions”
    8. Under “Security” change the Out-of-Band Authentication option to “Delivery via SMS”
    9. Click to Submit

    You will be prompted to enter your PIN to confirm your profile changes, and you will receive a One-Time Passcode via email. Enter the Passcode in the appropriate field and click the “Authenticate” button. 

    Once your changes are confirmed in the system, you will receive an SMS notification at the Mobile Number in your profile. The message will ask you to confirm the SMS Alerts Terms & Conditions.

    After you have agreed to the SMS Alerts Terms & Conditions, your One-Time Passcode will be delivered to you via SMS Messaging.

  • How do I login after updating to Out-of-Band Authentication?

    After your account is updated with Out-of-Band Authentication, you will need:

    • Your Company ID
    • Your User ID
    • Your PIN (created at your update to Out-of-Band Authentication)
    • Code provided by the Out-of-Band Authentication system via email or SMS

    Input the code you receive via email or SMS to validate your session and complete your log in.

  • How do I receive the code to complete my login?

    At each login to Business Online Banking, you will receive a one-time passcode to validate your online banking session. You can choose to receive the one-time passcode via email or SMS text message. You can change your preferences by editing your Account Profile.

  • When will my account be updated to Out-of-Band Authentication?

    All Business Online Banking Accounts will be updated to the Out-of-Band Authentication process by October 1, 2021.

  • Can my account be updated to Out-of-Band Authentication before October 1, 2021?

    Yes! If you want to update your Business Online Banking account to Out-of-Band Authentication right away, please have the Company Administrator send an email  to CashManagementOps@ebtc.com requesting Out-of-Band to be turned on.
