Enterprise Bankers Donate Thousands to Sun Santa Fund

Every fall, Enterprise Bankers volunteer to organize two internal events that benefit Sun Santa Fund, and countless team members open their hearts, wallets, and schedules each year to participate in the events.  Recently, team members from the Enterprise Bank Sun Santa organizing committee met with Kevin Coughlin, president of Lowell Sun Charities and Suzanne Reece, coordinator of Sun Santa to present a check for $9,500 that was raised through the fall events.

In October, Enterprise Bankers gathered for the popular Baked Potato Feast fundraiser, organized each year by the Information Services department. For a donation to benefit the Sun Santa Fund, employees enjoyed a baked russet or sweet potato to which they could add their choice of toppings.

In November, the annual Christmas Breakfast and Raffle took place, led by the Accounting and Finance department with assistance from colleagues in Wealth Management and Sales and Marketing. For a donation to Sun Santa Fund, team members enjoyed the breakfast buffet prepared and served by their colleagues.  The Basket Raffle held in conjunction with the breakfast featured dozens of themed raffle baskets including merchandise, gift cards, and lottery tickets that were donated by bank departments and branches, with proceeds from the raffle benefitting Sun Santa Fund.

The Sun Santa Fund was established in 1988 when Lowell Sun Charities learned that many Greater Lowell families were having difficulty affording Christmas gifts for their children or even a holiday meal.

Enterprise Bank team members are known throughout our community for their generosity and service.  Special internal events for Sun Santa Fund, plus participation in the many nonprofit boards and external community service efforts throughout the year, continually earn us recognition for volunteerism from Boston Business Journal. In September, BBJ announced that Enterprise Bank ranked #2 for the highest average volunteer hours in community service in Massachusetts for 2023 (32.94 per employee).

Enterprise Bankers presented a check for $9,500 to Sun Santa Fund on January 27, 2025. The funds were raised from events held in November and December 2024.
