Enterprise Bank Ranked #1 by Top Places to Work Survey

Enterprise Bank was named the number one place to work among large-sized companies for the second consecutive year in the employee-based “Top Places to Work” survey from The Boston Globe. This is the ninth consecutive year Enterprise Bank has been recognized as a top employer. The large-sized companies category includes companies with 250 to 999 employees. Enterprise Bank has approximately 550 employees.

In a joint statement, Chairman George L. Duncan, President Richard W. Main, CEO Jack Clancy, and Chief Human Resources Officer Jamie Gabriel said “We are deeply honored and humbled that the opinions of our team members have earned us recognition as the Top Place to Work. There is nothing more important to us than our Enterprise Family, who have made Enterprise what it is today. Our team and work environment are our greatest asset. We are truly a family—united by our core values of integrity, community, excellence, teamwork and professionalism.”

CEO Jack Clancy commented, “While our Enterprise Bank team members go above and beyond every day to provide exceptional service, what they have accomplished during the COVID-19 crisis this year is nothing short of extraordinary. With every obstacle this pandemic has thrown at them, they have persevered with flexibility, innovation, and a deep sense of purpose to care for one another, our customers, and our communities. Our team members have stepped up to embrace every opportunity to make the best of a difficult situation.”

Enterprise Bank was founded in 1988 by Chairman George Duncan, President Richard Main, and a dedicated group of local directors, investors, and management group as a locally-owned and managed community bank. The Bank’s vision is to stimulate the local economy by helping to create new businesses, jobs, vibrant communities, and a dynamic work environment in which employees grow and prosper. “This recognition reflects the spirit and purpose on which Enterprise was founded, and how Enterprise operates today and, in the years ahead. At Enterprise Bank we continually invest in the future of our team through such initiatives as formal mentoring programs, tuition reimbursement, and management courses striving to reward and recognize our team members in ways both big and small” said Duncan.

“Enterprise Bank is deeply committed to the growth, success and happiness of our team members, and it all starts with a positive, rewarding work environment where team members feel valued and respected,” said Jamie Gabriel, Enterprise Bank Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our teams are deeply committed to Enterprise Bank’s inclusive, caring and collaborative work environment, as well as our positive and dynamic culture of high standards of excellence, personal accountability and responsibility to each other and our customers, and giving back to our community. Never has that been as obvious as this year, when despite the challenges of this pandemic, our team has stood tall and stood together. We thank each and every one of our Enterprise Bank team members for making Enterprise what it is today. They truly make the difference in our Enterprise.”

The 13th annual Top Places to Work survey honors employers who care for their most valuable resource: the people who work for them. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement. Those businesses earning a spot in the Top Places to Work share several key traits, including offering progressive benefits and creative perks, allowing the flexibility needed to have good lives both at work and at home, embracing the diverse backgrounds of their employees, and offering a promising future to all of their workers.
